Sadly, I did not catch the source when I heard this lovely phrase quoted last week while watching a TV news program....the quote was "Be Selfish.....Go Help Someone"! If any of you have ever worked as a volunteer, you know that if you find a volunteer opportunity that really fits, you end up feeling that you may be getting more from the experience than those you are serving.
Whether at work or volunteering, we all love to feel that we have made a difference.
So take some time to be selfish....go out and do something for someone else that brings a smile to your face and some joy to your day. You don't have to commit tons of time....there are endless ways to be considerate or to do a bit extra for a friend or stranger. The small things do matter...make it count!
