The Sun is shining.....are you?
What will you do to let your light shine and be bright today? Don't hold back. Be creative. Be a problem solver. Seek common ground. Share a kind and uplifting word with someone who needs it. Don't wait. The world is a better place when we all act with courage and kindness. Let your yoga practice and your time on the mat help you quiet down enough to remember how very much you have to offer. Then get out there and be shiny!!!

FREE Community Outdoor Yoga on July 21st!
I can hardly believe that the calendar now says mid-July!! I hope that all of you are enjoying some outdoor time doing your favorite things, whether it's swimming, walking, biking or maybe even outdoor yoga!
Speaking of outdoor yoga, please plan to come next Tuesday July 21st to my free outdoor class. It will be held on the lawn of Glendale United Methodist Church (on the border of Burnsville and Savage near County Rd 42 and Glendale Rd) from 6-7pm. Bring a donation to the food shelf if you can.

What's your favorite yoga pose?
I have a few yoga poses that I love. What about you? Tell me your favorite pose or poses and why you like them or how they make you feel. To get us started, here are a couple of my very favorites:
Forward Fold: I love the release, the quiet, and the sense of calm in this pose.
Reverse Warrior: I love the extension and upward movement and lift in this posture. It's a great blend of extension and action mixed with a sense of quiet openness and being willing to receive something new.
Mountain Pose: Might seem silly, but I love the focus on quiet, solid energy and finding a sense of strength and calm while standing still.
Ok....please weigh in....I'd love to hear your thoughts. We'll save the poses we hate for another blog post! (They have benefits and things to teach us as well!)
